9th Century Khmer Cambodian Sculpture (Reproduction)

$1,295.00

Wonderfully cast concrete replicas of 9th century Kulen style Cambodian sculpture. Very realistic in form, texture and color. Most sculpture from the Cambodian region during the 8th-13th centuries was carved from red stone. It was highly influenced by Hindu and Buddhist cultures from India early on, then became more diverse toward the later centuries. The workmanship and artist qualities of these ancient works are beyond fantastic! And, very much priceless as well as difficult to procure as many governments disallow removal of native antiquities without permission or license which can be an extremely frustrating and costly adventure. These replicas however are perfectly affordable examples of South East Asian antiquity. A true art form in their own respect.

Not sold separately.

Male and female sculpture size approx. 15” tall x 8.5” wide

Base size: 4” height x 8” width x 8” depth
